Nogre Nengyi Ner

Nogre Nengyi Ner (/ˈnogre/ /ˈnengji/ [golden] [tablet; slab; brick; portion]) is a subtropical Village located in the I̽lökri̽ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Nogre Nengyi Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Nogre Nengyi Ner was founded by Caw̋ń̄ Coú̄ 'Nikki Gunslinger' Sēb Bé̄kī Yó̄kībó Zilvagee, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Nogre Nengyi Ner has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 7°C (44°F). Nogre Nengyi Ner receives an average of 76 cm/y (29 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Nogre Nengyi Ner covers an area of nearly 2 km² (0 mi²), and an average elevation of 5156 m (16916 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Nogre Nengyi Ner was founded durring the late 16th century in spring of the year 1496, by Caw̋ń̄ Coú̄ 'Nikki Gunslinger' Sēb Bé̄kī Yó̄kībó Zilvagee. The establishment of Nogre Nengyi Ner was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Caw̋ń̄ Coú̄ 'Nikki Gunslinger' Sēb Bé̄kī Yó̄kībó Zilvagee electing to pay people to resettle in Nogre Nengyi Ner.

Nogre Nengyi Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nogre Nengyi Ner is no diffrent. The village's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Nogre Nengyi Ner is was constructed arround several premissive baked earthen mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The village sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Nogre Nengyi Ner's timber-based walls are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Nogre Nengyi Ner has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Nogre Nengyi Ner long.

Nogre Nengyi Ner has an Scientific Academy which provides higher education in the natural sciences.

Nogre Nengyi Ner has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Nogre Nengyi Ner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Nogre Nengyi Ner's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In Nogre Nengyi Ner rain occurs in reverse with water pooling up from the earth then falling into the skies to from clouds, this unsettles every visitor that sees it.

The Thoqqua near Nogre Nengyi Ner are known to be quite timid.

Nogre Nengyi Ner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Abjuration energies of tier 1 via throat singing.
